Taking Chances with Chance Jolivette, a rapper born and raised in Louisiana. He started out writing poetry at a young age and gradually transitioned into writing lyrics. His musical style can best be described as lyrical, heartfelt, and at times aggressive. “I speak about dreams with a realistic look at life from the perspective of somebody at the bottom rather than a fantasy of having everything. In short my style is realism.” His inspiration comes from artist such as 2Pac, Bone, Thugs, & Harmony, and the innovative mogul Jay-Z, which makes his style unique and at a much faster pace than most Louisiana artist.
He released his first mixtape, Blue Magic Remix, Christmas Eve in 2007 remixing songs from Jay-Z, Kanye, and Lupe. Eight months later he followed with Therapy Session, but it wasn’t until 2009, when he produced the 12 In The Fiscal Project....
