Building An Effective Emailing List

You may hear this being said a lot, but it's one of the effective ways of marketing and promoting yourself.

We're not talking about you begging people to join your list, but we're talking about building an emailing list with your targeted audience. When you have your target audience then you can sell more books.

How do I build this list you may ask?

We will show you how. First thing you will need is something to give to your readers. Yes! You should give them a sample of your work, skill set, or whatever you have that shows them your work. This gift can be an excerpt of the first chapter of your upcoming release, a free short story about one of your main characters, a collection of sample chapters from previous releases, or whatever you think will get their attention.

Once you have decided what it is you are going to gift to your targeted readers, you then need to have a website and an email address to that site. With this email address you will need to set up an email server account such as MailerLite (our favorite), MailChimp, MPZMail, or any other email service providers. MailerLite and MailChimp are free to use. We would recommend starting with one of them.

Here is where this can be effective. Use your list to set up automatic emails. That way it can free up some of your time. You will build the emails and set them to send out at specific times. MailerLite let's you set up landing pages which are great when promoting a new product.
