There are many authors who are not familiar with this program. The Amazon Affiliate Program affiliate-program.amazon.com is a platform that allows you to make money while promoting an item from Amazon.
This can be very beneficial to authors who promote their Amazon links often. To set up an account you would use your regular Amazon login information. Once you are logged in to the affiliate page, you would create your Associate ID. Then fill out the rest of the questions as asked. And that's it. You can now begin adding products such as your book ASIN to the Get Link search bar and start promoting.
Once you get all the links to your books, we suggest storing them in a Microsoft Word Doc. Every time you promote your book use the link attached to the book you are promoting. If you hire promoters or bloggers give them the same links so that they may promote your links as well.
You can give bloggers your HTML code that is linked to your book so they can post it on their website under the blog post assigned to you. Post your HTML codes on your own website as well.
When someone clicks on your link and purchases your book not only will you get royalty from your book you will also get a percentage (10%) for a purchase that was made from your link.
The program also has a dashboard where you can view how many clicks your receiving per day as well as how much revenue you've made at what percentage.
This program can be a great way for authors to make extra money. The good thing about it is you can promote anyone's book the same way just put in there ASIN and promote their book. If you are going to read and review your favorite author's book. Find it on Amazon and create your affiliated link then post your review and link wherever you like. If someone wants to purchase the book from your link you get a percentage for promoting that link.
They also have promotional items about there products you can use add to your site. Such as adding a Prime Membership banner encouraging people to sign up. If someone signs up you get $3 for everyone who signs up from your banner, and there's so many more banners like that.
